Tinctures & Glycerites

Description & Distinction

Tinctures are made with a strong, basic alcohol. Most listed below are made with a vodka as the solvent.

Glycerites are made with a vegetable based glycerite and contain no alcohol.  

While both are similar in actions and uses, they do/can differ in potency and the constituencies pulled from the herbs. Glycerites are best for children and those who prefer not to consume any alcohol, though the doses are extremely small and would not leave any drunken effect taken in the proper dose.   ​
